General Music 3-5

These group classes for ages 3-5 teach that movement, self-expression and interpretation are integral parts of music. Our students learn a new important musical element every day that they will feel confident explaining to their family or peers. Through creating and performing, they understand how works of art are produced as well as the roles of performer and audience. Elite Music students will learn the role of music in civilizations, past and present and will be able to analyze how the arts function in history, society and everyday life. We developed our curriculum through consultation of published PHD Professors in the education department at Northwestern, research of state standards for music education, and adopted various teaching principals from the Montessori Method! Our students learn so much through hands on experience with a myriad of instruments, play, and crafting their own instruments and they glean self confidence and a lifelong love of music!

Small Group

 

Our small group classes are highly sought after by various schools in the greater Chicagoland area and the west suburbs. Our students receive all the benefits of private lessons in a group setting at a fraction of the cost! They will even receive individual attention in each class to ensure that technique and music reading are optimally understood. Opportunities like performing as a group and solos are also given to each class. Our classes turn out well-established musicians ready to dive into their instrument of choice and pursue education privately to reach their personal musical goals.
